It’s free to register with a local Doctor’s Surgery which will give you access to a GP when you’re feeling unwell. This means if you feel ill or experience any mental, physical or sexual health issues while you are a student, you will be able to access free local healthcare services.
There are lots of surgery options available to students in Swansea, and some might even be close to your term time accommodation. We work closely with University Health Centre, SA1 Medical Centre and Harbourside Health Centre. Registering with a GP surgery whilst at university will not prevent you from accessing healthcare if you return home for holidays.
