It’s not too late to join Team Swansea and register for the 2024 Swansea Half Marathon, where we are offering discounted entry for students!
Last year, over 100 students, staff and alumni took part in Swansea Half Marathon for the University’s ‘Making Strides’ charity, raising over £20k to support bettering mental health for all.
This year’s race will take place on Sunday 9th June 2024 and is set to be bigger and better than ever as we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the race, and Swansea University’s second year as sponsor.
We are excited to reveal that Welsh rugby legend, Ryan Jones, is returning to be one of our Team Swansea ambassadors, so in taking part, you will be running alongside Ryan!
If you fancy a new challenge, want to raise money for a good cause, or simply love running, we would love to have you join us.
Not going to be in Swansea? No problem! This year, you are being given the opportunity to take part in the Virtual Swansea Half Marathon, allowing you to participate in a way and a location that suits you. Although discounted entry is limited to those taking part in the Swansea race, you can still be part of Team Swansea and ‘Make Strides for Mental Health’.
If running simply isn’t your thing, there are still plenty of opportunities to make a difference, from sponsoring your friends, flatmates, and course mates, to volunteering on the day, and showing support as a spectator – we will be sharing more information closer to race day on all the other ways you can get involved.
