We can reveal some exciting plans for an extensive makeover of Fulton House! The University is making a significant (£35m) investment into your student experience, transforming the iconic Fulton House building on Singleton Campus to become a vibrant social hub.
The initial designs feature student-focused facilities such as commuter kitchens, dedicated social spaces, and flexible areas for societies, clubs, and events. The building will also offer a gateway to key student services.
You can view the ideas for the design here (dates and images are indicative and subject to change.):
Part of a wider investment into upgrading Singleton Campus, the build commences in early 2025 and will be a phased programme of renovation to minimise disruption.
The project focuses on celebrating the Grade II listed building’s history while introducing modern upgrades. Sustainability is also key to the new design, repurposing the existing structure, reducing waste, and drastically minimising embodied carbon and energy compared to new building approaches.
There will be ongoing opportunities for students to have their say and help shape the redevelopment, however, if you have any questions about our campus developments, please email us.
It’s going to be a great place to socialise and connect with other students on campus and we can’t wait to see it develop!
