This year’s Swansea Half Marathon will take place on Sunday 9th June 2024, and Swansea University is proud to celebrate our second year as sponsor.

We are delighted that over 200 students, staff and alumni have registered to run the half marathon for the University’s ‘Making Strides’ charity, with the aim of raising £20,000 to support bettering mental health for all.

We understand that not everyone will be in a position to support financially, so there are plenty of other opportunities to get involved, from volunteering on the day, to showing support as a spectator. Singleton Campus is an official spectator zone for this year’s event, and we would love to welcome you to campus to cheer on our runners as they pass!

We know that running isn’t for everyone, but you can still make a difference by sponsoring your friends, flatmates or course mates. Each of our runners has set up a JustGiving page, where they are collecting donations, or you can contribute to the University’s overall campaign page – anything at all you can spare will make a huge difference towards our work in improving access to mental health support.

Donations from last year’s event have so far have contributed towards exciting initiatives, including investment in additional support and equipment for our student nurses – find out more about the types of projects Making Strides is supporting.

Thank you for supporting Team Swansea, in whatever way you can.
