Works have commenced to improve and widen the road and area surrounding the ILS buildings. The project wil include widening of the road, resurfacing the road area, and enhancing pedestrian accessibility in the area, with new zebra crossings and resurfaced walkways.
From Monday 24th June, work will commence to set up the temporary traffic management, marking up services on the roads and setting up the site containers and storage. At this point the car park behind ILS 1 will close and become a site compound. More containers and materials will be stored in car park 3.
On Monday 1st July, the gateway at the Margam building providing access to the Pub on The Pond and Boating Lake will be closed and pedestrians diverted via the opening between ILS 1 and ILS2.
On Tuesday 9th July, the bottom section of the road between Grove and Glyndwr will be closed until early September. Access to the road will be via the junction opposite Haldane. Vehicles will have to turn around and exit via the same junction.
