Over recent months and over the summer, we have been busy making improvements across Singleton and Bay Campus, including the refurbishment of new labs, introduction of a microwave room at Fulton, and making improvements to roadways, footpaths and the outdoor environment.

To help the University become a zero-carbon university by 2035, we’re continuing to install LED lighting in our buildings as part of a rolling LED upgrade project.

We’ve also been working on improving your outdoor environment. We have completed essential repair works to the Fulton Lawn steps, and have made improvements to the Vivian Pond area, making it a DDA compliant accessible area for all students to enjoy.

We’re also very proud of our new 3g pitch at Swansea Bay Sports Park. The state-of-the-art facility held a number of this year’s Varsity events and will continue to be utilized throughout the year providing you with the opportunity to achieve BUCS sporting success.

Over the coming months we’ll be continuing to improve roadways and footpaths around Singleton, including a re-modelling to the ILS 1 junction to widen the road and enhance the pedestrian accessibility in the area with new zebra crossings and resurfaced walkways.

We are working hard to ensure these essential upgrades and developments don’t impact on your campus experience. If you have any queries or concerns about any campus development activity, you can get in touch with us at campusdevelopment@swansea.ac.uk
