Thanks to your feedback, we’re delighted to share some news about the Unibws service! Following the recent bus user group session, your concerns and feedback have been heard, and First Bus is making some positive changes to improve your travel experience.
There will be an increase in the frequency of early buses on the Unibws network. Timetables will be updated here.
Here’s what’s new:
Additional Morning Services:
- An additional 92 service from Singleton to Bay Campus running from 07:10, arriving at 07:50.
- An additional 91 service from Singleton to Bay Campus running from 07:13, arriving at 07:58.
- An additional 92 service from Bay Campus to Singleton running from 07:25, arriving at 08:04.
- An additional 91 service from Christina Street (Coppergate Student accommodation) to Bay Campus via True/Roost from 08:20.
These changes aim to provide you with more frequent and reliable services for morning commuting to get you to your lectures on time.
Please remember that if you are travelling from True/ St.Davids accommodation, there is also an 08:10, 9:10 and 9:13 service running from Monday to Friday, which starts empty from True/St.Davids accommodation.
Thank you again for your input to the ‘Tell us About Travel’ form and to those of you who attended the Bus User Group session on the 10th of October. We can confidently say that these changes have been influenced by and made as a direct result of your invaluable feedback.
If you have any questions in the meantime or simply want to tell us about your travel experiences, please us the ‘Tell us About Travel’ form.
Our next Bus User Group session is on the 5th of December.
We should really have the 92 and 91 services at least every 30 mins from both campuses, 1 bus every hour is too long and not beneficial
Thank you for your comment. First Cymru are responsible for the bus services here in Swansea, including the University services. I have however passed your feedback to the relevant team who liaise directly with First.
Are buses able to run throughout the night? at least from town to singleton through uplands? because if we are out late there are never buses to get back, so we have to get a taxi which is too expensive or walk which is 45 minutes
Hello Yasmin, thank you for your question. We will reach out to our Travel Coordinator for a response and will post a reply on this thread. Bear with us.
Hello Yasim, We’ve received a response from the Travel Coordinator. The N91 does run through the Uplands until 2.35am. Unfortunately, the demand for this service was not enough to keep it running later than this.
We would encourage students to feedback via the Tell us form and to attend the Student bus user group to make requests directly to First Bus Management.
Does the extra N92 stop in the park and ride please?
It will if it’s on the timetable. May we ask which direction you are travelling in please? Thanks
