Do you speak a language fluently or are a native speaker? Share your knowledge and culture by becoming a Language Leader for our brand-new Language Café!
What is the Language Café?
The Language Café is a weekly event held on campus during term time. It’s a vibrant space where students can learn and practice different languages in a relaxed and fun environment. Each session features tables dedicated to specific languages, with Language Leaders guiding conversations and teaching useful phrases.
What we’re looking for:
- Native speakers or fluent speakers of any language.
- Friendly, approachable individuals with a passion for sharing their language and culture.
- No teaching experience required—just enthusiasm and a willingness to engage with students!
What you’ll gain:
- A chance to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
- The opportunity to develop leadership, communication, and cultural exchange skills.
- A certificate of participation to enhance your CV.
- Personalised references for future job applications or academic opportunities
Commitment:
- Lead a language table for 90 minutes weekly during term time.
- Create lessons for the sessions (lesson plans provided)
How to apply:
