If you are experiencing menopausal symptoms, or you would like to find out more about menopause, why not come along to our Menopause Café on Wednesday 19 February, 1:30 – 3pm.

The cafe, which is open to staff and students, will be held on the third Wednesday of every month, in person and online via Zoom. There is no need to pre-register if you attend in person, but if you would like to join online you will need to register here

This month it will be held in person at the Health and Wellbeing Academy, Singleton Campus (Student Break out room) and will provide a safe space to talk about Menopause, which affects so many women and their families.  It is also an opportunity for line managers to attend to enhance their knowledge in this area, so that they can support team members.

Each Café will start with a short talk on a particular subject relating to menopause, followed by an opportunity for questions and discussions amongst the group.

For this session, Dr Rachel Churm from the Faculty of Science and Engineering will highlight the research she is carrying out on exercise and menopause and will provide details and advice on the benefits this may have.

The University is committed to fully and positively supporting menopause and is dedicated to providing an inclusive and supporting environment for everyone who works and studies here.

Look forward to seeing you there.
