Digital Services have started to migrate Singleton Campus buildings onto the new University network which will deliver increased speed, tighter security and improved resilience to faults.

Following next week’s network migration at Beck Hall, we will be starting the process of migrating Singleton Campus student residences in the first week of April.

The migrations will result in short periods of localized interruption to network and Wi-Fi services lasting no more than 2-3 hours per building on these dates:

Wednesday 26 & Thursday 27 March – Beck Hall

Wednesday 2 & Thursday 3 April – Oxwich, Langland, Caswell, Rhossili East & Rhossili North.

Wednesday 9 & Thursday 10 April – Kilvey, Preseli & Cefn Bryn

Tuesday 15 & Wednesday 16 April Penmaen & Horton

There are over 50 buildings across Singleton and Bay campuses to migrate onto the new network over the next few months. Whilst we are making every effort to minimize disruption to users, these works are essential and must go ahead as planned.

Please note that wired and Wi-Fi services will still be available in other buildings whilst a migration is underway.
