As we approach the end of term and Easter vacation, we would like to take this opportunity to wish you a well deserved break.

Many of our services will be operating reduced hours in this period, and the University will be operating an extended bank holiday closure from the 17th of April until 22nd April. Please see the information below on service opening times to help you plan ahead.

Please contact your school information team if you have any queries regarding teaching or placements scheduled during the additional University bank holiday closure days.

MyUniHub and Faculty Information Teams

Our information desks located at Singleton Library and Tower Information Centre on Bay Campus will be open as normal and contact hours will remain the same over the Easter vacation (14th April – 5th May), excluding the extended bank holiday period.

MyUniHub will close at 4pm on Wednesday 16th April and reopen on Wednesday 23rd April at 8:30am.

University Libraries

The Library buildings on Singleton and Bay campuses will remain open 24/7 and operate normal information desk opening hours over the Easter vacation (14th April – 5th May), excluding the extended bank holiday period.

Our Library Information desks will be closed at 5pm on Wednesday 16th April and will reopen on Wednesday 23rd April at 8:00am.

St David’s Park Library will be open as normal on Thursday 17th April and closed for the Easter bank holiday until Wednesday 23rd April.

Campus travel

There will be changes to the First Bus services from the 13th April with services switching to the non-term time timetables. For more information on this, cycling, active travel and dedicated exam timetables during the revision and exam period, click here.

Catering Outlets

Please note that our catering outlet opening times will be changing from 12th April – 6th May to non-term time hours. For opening hours from 12th April, please click here.

Catering outlets will be closed on both campuses from 17th April to 22nd April. Non-term operating hours will resume from April 23rd to 6th May. Term time operating hours will recommence from 6th May.

Students’ Union

The Students’ Union Advice and Support Centre will close on Thursday 17th April and reopen on Thursday 1st May. During the closure period, the SU will be providing limited advice and signposting of any queries. You can find self-support information here.

Swansea Bay Sports Park

Swansea Bay Sports Park will be open as normal on the additional University closure dates on Thursday 17th March and Tuesday 22nd April but there will be some changes to the opening hours over the Easter weekend. You can view the hours here.

Support and Wellbeing

You can still access Hapus during the Easter break! Hapus is our online Student Life Toolkit available to all students, and it provides you with expert advice and knowledge to deal with things like social anxiety, low mood, managing stress and feelings of isolation and loneliness.

In addition to the Hapus resources, you can find a range of specialist services, resources and information available to you on the Support and Wellbeing pages.

Careers and Employability

Will be closed during the University’s extended bank holiday period, from 17th until 22nd of April. 

The team will be available during vacation period outside of the closure days on Singleton Campus (Abbey Stable Block), however the Bay Campus Employability Hub (School of Management) will be closed from 16th April and reopen on 28th April.

Study and social life balance

Whilst study and revision are important, it’s equally important to have balance. If you have any questions during the extended closure period, please use the MyUni website to see if your query can be answered, otherwise, University staff will answer any questions as soon as possible when normal hours resume on the 23rd April.
