Our campus is often home to student and staff-led initiatives and charity fundraisers that make a real difference. We’re proud to support these efforts and want to ensure that all fundraising on campus is safe and transparent.
We’ve recently received reports of individuals collecting donations who are not officially recognised by the University or Students’ Union. While our campus remains a safe place, we encourage everyone to stay mindful when donating and to follow these simple steps:
- Do not give money or donations to individuals unless you are certain they are part of an official charity, or Swansea University or Students’ Union campaign.
- If you have made a payment and are concerned, please report it as fraud to your bank and Action Fraud.
- If you notice any unusual or suspicious activity you can report this to Security and Campus Response on 01792 604271 or contact us via the SafeZone app.
All approved charity fundraising on campus is organised by Swansea University or the Students’ Union. These official campaigns are clearly identifiable and supported by email communications.
Thank you for staying alert and helping us keep our campus community safe. If you have any concerns, please reach out to Security and Campus Response.
