We understand that ongoing global conflicts and uncertainty may be deeply affecting members of our community.

Our thoughts are with all those affected during this time, and we want to remind you that support is available.

Whether you’re looking for someone to talk to, need practical advice, or are experiencing grief or loss, help is available through:

  • The Listening Service, which also provides bereavement support for those impacted by grief or loss

Please know that we are here to support you throughout your academic and personal journey at Swansea, and we are committed to helping make that experience as successful and positive as possible. If there is anything affecting you, or your fellow students, that may impact this success, we encourage you to let us know. By reaching out to our Welfare team, we can work with you to explore solutions together.

We ask everyone to be respectful of one another and to treat each other with compassion, especially during this difficult time.

As a University, we remain committed to our values of sanctuary, support, and solidarity, and we operate a zero tolerance to harassment approach. If you witness or experience discrimination, you can speak to someone at the Students’ Union Advice Centre, a third-party Hate Crime Reporting Centre, or contact the Welfare service to arrange a conversation with a Student Life Officer who can offer guidance and support. You can also use the Safezone app to stay connected with our Security and Campus response team on and off campus.

We recommend checking the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) travel advice pages for the latest guidance before you travel.  If you are experiencing difficulty, you may also wish to use the find a helpline resource to access support services available wherever you are.

Take care of yourselves and each other.
