Save the date, an initial version of your timetable for next academic year will be released in mid-July!

Thanks to your student feedback, we’ve made significant improvements to your timetabling experience with us. One of these improvements is the earlier creation and release of your initial timetable.

The creation and release of your initial timetable is now 7 weeks earlier than previous years.

We hope the earlier release of your initial timetable will enable you to better plan your life outside of university. We understand how important family, work and other social commitments are to you.

As with all initial timetables, please note it is still subject to change. There are several reasons why your timetable may change. A good example is module selection, if the majority of students select certain modules, class sizes grow. Bigger class sizes lead to bigger rooms, and this knock-on effect can result in later changes to your timetable. Please keep this in mind when scheduling commitments outside of your university life.

You also asked for better communication around the release of the timetable, and we are delivering on that (as we speak!). Not only are we communicating more notice of your timetable release, but we will also be communicating:

  • How your timetable is built.
  • Why your timetable experiences changes.
  • Frequently asked timetabling questions.

Please keep an eye out for further communications regarding timetabling to understand the bigger picture behind every timetable.

We hope these improvements are enriching your education, experience and accompanying student life with us. These improvements would not be made possible without your meaningful feedback; it really does make a positive difference.

Please contact your Faculty Information Teams for any further information, a friendly member of staff will be happy to assist you.
