Using the library
As a digital-first library our online collections and services are always available whenever you need them and wherever you are but as a Swansea University student you also have access to a number of physical libraries across our campuses. Each offers a resources, study spaces, and IT facilities to support your study.

We tailor the hours at each location based on how you use that library, so we may extend them during exam periods or reduce them during the vacations.

Each library offers a range of core services such as:
- Subject specific support
- Access to key books that are only available in print
- Facilities to collect, borrow and return library items
- Study space, including PCs and docking stations
- Printing, copying and scanning
- Specialist equipment, resources and services for students with a disability, medical condition or other needs
Services available at specific sites include:
- Access to the Rare books and archive materials in our cultural collections
- Viewing facilities our media collections
- Group study pods
- Laptop Loans
We also provide facilities to help you have the best study experience at key locations including:
- Student kitchens with water fountains, boiling water taps and microwaves as well as access to vending machines
- Games and puzzles for study breaks
- Blankets to borrow on cold days
