Get a Taste of Wales – Crafts, Culture, and Community
We are delighted to invite you to an afternoon celebrating the richness of Welsh culture at The Hideaway on Thursday 23rd October, from 11 – 2pm . This event is designed to give you a real taste of Wales, from its language and traditions to its food, music, and creativity.
Whether you are new to Swansea or have lived here all your life, it’s the perfect chance to connect with the culture that makes this part of the world so unique. Read on to find out everything that we have on offer at this Welsh celebration!
Throughout the afternoon, you’ll be able to take part in a variety of hands-on activities and cultural experiences:

🎨 Creative crafts: decorate a pot with decoupage and plant your very own daffodil bulb, one of the most iconic Welsh symbols.

🗣️ Learn Welsh with Clwb Cymraeg: join our friendly group for beginners’ activities, pick up some useful phrases, and start your journey into one of Europe’s oldest living languages.

🌍 Discovery team activities: supporting with crafts and introducing their upcoming ‘Give it a Go’ week, where you’ll be encouraged to try volunteering with no commitment and no expectations – just give it a go!

🎁 Welsh giveaways: take home pin badges, chocolate daffodils, and other small tokens of Welsh culture.

🎶 Traditional Welsh music: enjoy an afternoon soundtrack that brings the spirit of Wales to life.
