The hugely-popular free bus offer in the city is back this Christmas!
From the 6th of December, you will be able to travel around the WHOLE Swansea region for free on select dates until the 31st of December! This offer applies to all bus services operated by First Cymru, Adventure Travel, South Wales Transport and DANSA. The only services that are not included are:
- Longer-distance coach services operated by National Express and Flixbus. This also includes services to Bay Campus, as this falls outside of the Swansea region.
- First Cymru’s Services 51 and 52 to and from the park and ride car parks.
What do I do? Do I just get on the bus or do I have to speak to the driver?
If the bus is operating wholly within Swansea all you need to do is get on board and enjoy the ride. If you’re getting on a bus that’s travelling outside Swansea please let your driver know so you can pay the appropriate fare. The offer applies only to those journeys which start and finish in Swansea.
When are the free buses running?
The free bus service will run every weekend in December, alongside additional dates over the Christmas break period. You can find the full list of dates by visiting Swansea Council’s website. Please note that all journeys must START before 7pm or else they will be charged as normal.
