Switch off over Christmas

As we approach the Christmas 2025 festive break, please take a moment to help us reduce energy use, enhance campus security, and support Swansea University’s net zero, sustainability, and financial sustainability programmes.

  • Before leaving for the holiday period, please ensure that you:
  • Switch off all non-essential appliances, equipment and lights.
  • Turn down heating and appliance controls where possible.
  • Close and secure all windows, doors and other openings.
  • Report any faults, leaks or issues before you depart.

Your actions make a meaningful difference in cutting carbon emissions, reducing costs, and ensuring our buildings remain safe over the break. Thank you for your support throughout the year. Enjoy a restful and well-deserved festive break and don’t forget to check your SWell points.
