Buses should run from the campuses to the bus station at night so that students can wait for connecting services in a warm, dry well-lit, relatively well populated space. Students travelling alone at night, especially females & those with disbilities, should not be expected to walk through the back streets of swansea to get from random bus stops to the bus station.
The bus stops at Singleton should – as a bare minimum – have signs to say which buses go from which stops, but timetables or updated signs would be better.
Hello! Thank you for your feedback. This has been passed on to our Travel Coordinator. Please try and attend the next Bus User group so we can discuss this in more detail. Without feedback, improvements cannot be made. Thank you
Hello! Please find the response below from our travel Coordinator Jayne Cornelious.
The late-night buses cannot access the bus station as they are closed for buses. The local authority closes access after a certain time. This is out of our control.
If you are looking at buses evening up to 11pm the following services do run into the bus station from campus to connect to other services at the bus station.
From Singleton Campus
4, 9 ( student day tickets also accepted)
2a, and 3a
From Bay Campus
9,. (inside the Campus)
X1, X5, X7 and 38 outside the Campus
If you use the First app you can locate services and bus stops and save to your phone. The bus services are run commercially by Firstbus.
