It has been brought to our attention that students are parking illegally in the Amazon overflow car park on Fabian Way.
We urge you not to park on local business premises such as Amazon or Celtic Mowers, and to avoid parking in the local residential areas. Please also be advised that traffic enforcement officers regularly patrol this area and illegal parking could result in a fine.
We would also like to remind you there have recently been speed limit changes, so please be aware of and follow all designated speed restrictions.
It is all well and good that the university reminds students of this. Yet, it does not allow parking for students on its campus, runs a joke of a public transport system that is overcrowded and leads students frequently not being able to get to campus successfully. Thus, students use their intuition to make sure they can attend their studies. Maybe the university should look in the mirror for once!
Thank you for your feedback, we will pass this on to the relevant staff. Please note, that the University does not run the bus service, this is a commercial service run by First, however, we do work with them to pass on student feedback and try to improve the service. A new timetable is operating in January which we hope will improve the public transport offering.
