Swansea University Hardship Fund
If students are struggling financially the Swansea University Hardship Fund is available to apply to. Awards from the fund are not guaranteed and cannot be used as a form of funding but are in place for eligible students to apply for short term assistance if they are in a current state of financial hardship due to unforeseen circumstances. As mentioned previously, there is no guarantee that an application will result in an award being made, but if you were to receive a payment, you would not need to pay it back. You can see more information on the funds and the link to apply on the following webpage here: Help with Hardship
If you’d like your hardship fund assessment to be completed before our offices close for the Christmas break, then applications must be submitted by 28/11/25
PLEASE NOTE: There is no guarantee to receive any financial support from our hardship funds as all assessments are discretionary and based on evidence of experiencing financial hardship. The hardship funds will remain open and we’ll continue to make assessments beyond this date, however we will not be able to guarantee that an assessment will be completed before our office close for the Christmas break.
