As we approach the end of term, we would like to take the opportunity to say thank you for all your hard work this academic year and provide you with some key information on the opening hours of university services and support during the summer vacation period.

We’ll be in touch soon with information about enrolment for the 2024/25 academic year, so be sure to check your emails if you’re a returning student!

Catering Services

We hope you’re enjoying the range of eating options available on campus, including click & collect at high street brands such as Greggs and Subway, and the fantastic Swansea Social Hideaway at Bay.

We’ll be introducing Kitchen @ Harbwr on Singleton soon which will include quicker food service and an expanded menu with ordering options via kiosk, table QR codes and the Uni Food Hub app. Watch this space!

With reduced footfall on campus over the summer months, some of our outlets will close or have reduced opening hours – visit our catering webpages to stay up to date.

Bus travel

Due to the University holiday period, the service 90A, N91, 92 and N92 will be withdrawn.

The non-term timetables (10th June – 20th  September) for the 90 and 91 which will serve the University in this period are available to view here.

MyUniHub

The MyUni team will be available as usual through the summer. You can find them on the ground floor in Singleton Park Library, or in the Clock Tower at Bay Campus.

Students’ Union Run Outlets

The opening times for campus outlets run by the Students’ Union, including JCs and Costcutter, can be found on their website.

Library Services

You’ll find up to date information on opening times of all our libraries on our webpages.

You will be able to consult Subject Librarians throughout the summer via online chat or in one-to-one appointments. Full details are in Libguides.

 Make sure you look out for the calendar of drop-ins and workshops over the summer, open to all students.

Student Spaces

Our student spaces will remain open during the summer months. 

 So, whether you’re looking for a quiet spot to study, need to collaborate as a group or just want to relax and unwind, we have plenty of space for you on campus.

Make sure you check our dedicated student spaces pages for a full list of opening hours and availability.

Sports facilities 

You can find up to date opening times for the University sports facilities over on the Swansea Bay Sports Park website.

Get ACTIVE

If you are looking for some social, fun and friendly physical activity, then check out our Get ACTIVE timetable which is running until the end of July. You can also follow the team on Instagram to keep up to date with activities.

Taliesin Arts Centre

The Taliesin Arts Centre will continue to offer a full programme throughout the summer period, including cinema screenings, live music and theatre events and workshops.

As part of the Taliesin’s 40th anniversary celebrations, a series of dedicated fun days and special events are taking place, see the website for full Summer listings.

Estates Helpdesk & Customer Services Teams

The Estates Helpdesk, and the Customer Service desks within Fulton House Reception and on the first floor of the Nanhyfer Building at the Bay will be open from 08:30 until 16:30 throughout the vacation period.

Sustainability

Don’t forget to keep logging your sustainable and wellbeing actions over the summer through SWell. If you have any questions about staying sustainable on or off campus, get in touch with our super friendly team and take a look on Eventbrite for details of any beach cleans or conservation volunteering opportunities that are going on.

SafeZone

Our Security Services will continue to operate on campus 24/7 during this period. 

If you’re sticking around campus, make sure you have the SafeZone app downloaded on your phone.

The app is easy to download and gives you immediate access to on-campus security and our team of qualified and experienced first responders if you are in a personal emergency or if someone needs first aid or general help.
