We’re delighted to announce that Swansea University Cycles is now open.
We’re introducing 100 brand new bikes to Swansea’s bike hire network over the coming weeks. The bikes, which have an improved locking system and GPS tracking, are an upgrade from the previous model and will offer a smooth and comfortable ride for new and returning riders.
Across the city, our existing docking stations have had a makeover with two exciting new hub additions to follow soon at the Swansea Guildhall and Swansea Bus Station.
You can hire the bikes as before via the new and improved next bike uk app. Hiring a bike remains a popular and cost-effective option for you to get across the city. With a student membership it costs just *£10 to register for the year and you will get the first 30 minutes free on any ride with each 20 minutes then costing just £0.50.
*Existing customers memberships will continue until their expiry date, after which newly purchased memberships will be charged at the new tariff.

The expansion of the network with more bikes and docking stations will further improve connectivity across Swansea and will also offer you enhanced opportunities to take up cycling as a regular mode of travel, with the added benefit of keeping active, saving on travel costs, and being kinder to the environment.
