Every year Discovery recruits, trains and supports a small team of committed and energetic Project Coordinators to lead groups of volunteers as well as organising and delivering our community activities, through our Community Leadership Programme.
The scheme offers students the opportunity to not only gain skills but to take a first step in to project managing and team leading in practical community leader roles.
As a Project Coordinator you will be supported every step of the way and trained up in the role.
Leadership opportunities:
- The Vetch Project Coordinator: Lead a team to support local community members in maintaining their allotment plots and community garden.
- Gwirfoddoli Project Coordinator: Lead a team to provide a variety of volunteering opportunities for Welsh speakers and learners.
- Star Project Coordinator: Lead a team and support a local drop in for refugees and asylum seekers in Swansea.
- Digital Media Project Coordinator: Lead a team to create digital media content across all Discovery’s platforms.
